Lady's finger (light, porous biscuits specially for tiramisu, best are Savoiardi biscuits on Amazon ...contain egg) Mascarpone cheese Heavy cream Coffee powder or espresso Cocoa powder Vanilla essence Powdered Sugar
METHOD
Take heavy cream (250ml) in a bowl and whisk it well till the peaks start forming (don't over-whisk). Then take 1/2 tsp coffee powder in a tiny bowl, add 1 spoon of hot water and dissolve it well. Once it cools, add this coffee concentrate to the heavy cream and fold it in with a ladle (don't mix it, but fold it in from the sides in the same direction so as to not lose the fluffiness created by whisking.)
Then in another bowl, add 200g mascarpone (one box), 6 tbsp sugar, 1/4 tsp vanilla essence. (Make sure that mascarpone is at room temperature to prevent lumps while mixing). Mix it well. Now add this to the heavy cream and again fold it in.
Now make another coffee mixture with 2 tsp of coffee powder and 10 tsps of room-temperature water. Then take a flat bowl and line all the lady's finger at the bottom. Pour some this coffee solution with a spoon over them. Alternatively, you can also take each lady's finger and dip it in this solution, quickly take it out and place it in a flat bowl. Be careful that it does not get soggy and break. Then cover them all the mascarpone cream.
Again add another layer of lady's finger and cover it with the mascarpone cream. Finally sprinkle cocoa powder evenly with a strainer over the entire surface. Refrigerate the bowl for 3-4 hours, or ideally overnight. Your Tiramisu is ready.

(Tip: Preparation takes less than 10-15 min! For eggless version, replace lady's finger with digestive biscuits or sponge cake.
The traditional tiramisu recipe contains Marsala, which is sweet red wine. But you can also use dark rum, brandy, coffee liquor or almond liquor. Simply add it to the coffee solution instead of water.)
