Pigmentation During Pregnancy >>>
Q: I am 24 weeks pregnant. I recently noticed a dark purple patch (a mesh of visible blood vessels), 1.5" x 2" in size, on my thigh. Should I be worried? Shashi (Norcross, USA) |
A: Pigmentation in forms of papules (purple patch) can occur as a part of pregnancy due to the large number of hormonal and immunological changes. However it is best to have it examined to rule out any pathological cause for the same. I suggest you visit a dermatologist as soon as possible. |
