Farah Khan is not only a successful Bollywood choreographer but also a doting mother of triplets. Let us take a look at her parenting style and how she balances her motherhood and career as a mother of triplets.

Farah Khan as born on Jan 9 in 1965 and she is cited to be one of the strongest personalities and most successful female directors of Bollywood. Farah is famous for her outstanding choreographic work in many Bollywood Films and she has till date filmed for more than 80 movies. Apart from being known for her contribution in international projects like Marigold, Perhaps Love and Monsoon Wedding, Farah is also known for her dedication to her three children.

Farah and Her Cultural Upbringing

Farah Khan is the daughter of Menaka and Kamran Khan. Farah and her brother Sajid Khan were the product of an unpleasantly dissolved marriage. Farah’s father Kamran was once a famous director who then got addicted to alcohol. Farah’s parents got divorced when she was about 7 years of age and she spent her life shuttling between her father Kamran and mother Menaka’s home along with her younger brother Sajid. Her disturbed and unstable childhood deprived her of the normal family happiness that every kid craves and this led to a void in her life.
Farah Khan admitted in her interviews that she was quite skeptical of relationships and marriage. She got married to Shirish Kunder on 9th December 2004 when she was almost 40 years old. Since then the couple has enjoyed a normal, happy and controversy free marriage.

Farah and Her Triplets

Since Farah was above the age of 40 when she got married and naturally she had problems in naturally conceiving. She and Shirish tried naturally for two years before resorting to IVF (In Vitro Fertilization). In 2007 Farah gave birth to triplets; two girls and one boy after successful implementation of IVF in 2007.
She and Shirish named the girls Anya and Diva while the boy was named Czar. Farah who is a buzz ball of energy has always given her kids and work equal importance.

Farah’s Relationship with Her Kids

Farah Khan has always shied away from making public appearances with her children and her first public shoot with them was for the cover of Child Magazine in 2015. Farah is extremely protective about her kids and had been declining the magazine’s offer for a photo shoot for the last 7 years as she believed that her kids were too small.
One thing that Farah loves doing for her kids is cooking. She is an excellent cook who can whip up amazing delicacies in her home kitchen. She has admitted in many interviews that almost all her weekends are devoted to being with kids. She enjoys doing very normal things with them like eating breakfast together or going to watch movies together. Farah has always made it a point to give her kids the stable home life that she lacked in her childhood.
Her dedication to her kids resonates in the line “every day is mother’s day for me”. She carefully preserves the handmade greeting cards of her kids and is joyful for the happiness that her children have brought in her life.

Parenting Lessons from Farah

Farah is the perfect example of a working mother who has perfectly balanced her family and work life. Her husband Shirish (who is incidentally 9 years younger to her) actively helps out with the kids making the work life balance easier for Farah. Farah Khan maintains that she had never really known that she would have kids and now that her little angels are there in her life she tries to make every day special for them.
Farah Khan is the perfect epitome of a super successful woman who is also a fantastic mom and she is a source of inspiration for all mothers.
