you can mix formula and cows milk, but do not add the powder to cows milk. If u want to feed your child 8oz of milk, prepare 4oz of formula in water as directed on the pack and add 4 oz of cows milk to the prepared formula. U can vary the proportion of cows milk to formula depending on how your daughter accepts it.
Adding the powder to cows milk makes it too heavy, your daughter may not be able to digest it initially
You can give a few feeds of formula and few feeds cows milk, this is fine

At 13 months I dont think it is necessary to introduce formula, if u think she is not getting enough vitamins u can give her multi viatmin drops, if u think she needs more calories there r plenty of other items u can include in her diet.. all listed in previous posts and I' m sure u r aware of them.. This is my personal opinion ... but to each her own.. u have to do what u think is best for your child.. good luck :)

Hi gauri

My daughter is 6 months and she' s exclusively formula fed right from the start. I remember your post about giving your daughter cow' s milk from the start and how she refuses formula when you gave her later. I think babies need to get used to formula perhaps a little earlier ,coz it' s too bland(I say they smell like feet,I' d never eat it if that' s the last thing on earth.I dunno how my baby is so addicted to it.Jus kidding)Bm and cow' s milk are naturally sweet so they may have a hard time getting used to bland formula. But if she does like to have formula,go ahead. Even if it' s twice a day. Im not sure if you can mix cow' s milk and formula. Maybe if you' re making an 8 oz bottle ,you could use 1 oz of cow milk and the rest water.
If it' s 8 oz of milk and add formula to that, that' ll be taking it too far.
As it is ,formula constipates babies ,so I' ll always recommend water.
That' s my two cents.
