I have had 3 failed IVFs. Want to know what to do after embryo transfer? Do u lie on ur back all 13-15 days before results come? How much rest to take? What foods to eat / avoid? Someone told me to avoid:
1. Papaya
2.Pineapple
3. Dates
4. Vinegar/ Ketchup
5. Tea/Coffee
Anything else?

Just don' t know what to do feel hopeless!

Hi Julie
Each one has different opinion on any subject or question. What works for one is not ture for others or in another word not a rule of thumb.
Here in USA dr' s says no precaution about food or the way you lie on bed.. It has nothing to do with IVF success or failuer. In fact they will ask u to get after half an hr. of embryo trf since sperm or embryo has tendency to swim upward and not downward (or else no one would have gotten pregnenet naturally ...) You can always avoid some too spicy or stale kind of food and vigorous exercise or lifting.. This is just common sense... There are several factor why a IVF fails.. It could be pure negative, chamical pregency, or misscarriage after few weeks due to abnormal Chromosome. Hope it helps.
all the best, semi
