iui is intrauterine insemination. It does not hurt much. First you might be given clomid tab from the 3rd or 5th day of your period and then from the 10th day of your period you will have to go for follicular monitoring to an ultrasound center and they will let you know when your follicle is ruptured, then you go to your doctor and they take the sample of your husband' s semen and treat it and after that insert it into you, there is no medications given and you might be asked to lie down for some time. It will not hurt much.
I have gone thro. all this and first time i had a miscarriage when i conceived naturally and the second time when i had conceived through iui and had a miscarriage, we ckhd the foetus and found out tht i had tb of the uterus, i took tab for 9 months and after that also went for IUI but with no success finally i conceived naturally and had a successful pregnancy.
Please chk for all the odds and then you can try for IUI, for it is a long and stressful journey. all the best.
