I have gone in for IUI.. and it was yday that I went in for it. It is still paining for me in the lower abdomen.. still finding it difficult to relax.. I also have this prob that if it fails then I am depressed!! Also the doc told me clearly before the IUI that the sperm count was low and that most sperms were dead by the time I brought them to the clinic.. she said chances are not there at all!!! still I treid .. now what will happen??? sudha replied. hi dear
yes what sunshine had said is true...when most of the sperms were dead i dont think the chance of being positive is not high.. why dont u ,ur husband and the doc sit together and have a meeting where a correct time will b decided when he will not touring ,get a counselling done like how to cope if things dont fall in place
why dont u also opt for a 2nd opinion as far as i know no such extreme pain happens these are v delicate matters pls dont take things for granted ask ur doc questions like why is it paining,if the sperms were dead why were they put in .....i fail to understand...
pls get these things clarified from ur doc and yes remain positive...remain occupied may be some work or develop some hobby ...exercise light eat well

i have also done iui with no success. first let me tell u there is normally no pain at all in an iui. since ur experiencing acute pain i feel the doc is not a good one. i suggest that u find another doc immediately. secondly if there are no live sperms there is no chance that an iui will succeed. statistics say iui has only 10% success rate in cases of high sperm count and motility. u would need to get ur husbands sperm analyzed with a fertility clinic and consult a good doc.

dont give up hope. be positive. take comfort in the fact that ur not alone there are many of us who are in the same boat.
