Hi friends,
I am new on this board but am having a very difficult problem.I had a daughter after many years of marriage due to unexplained fertility problem and finally succeded after ivf when i was 35 and now i discovered i am pregnant at 40.What should i do?.Is is ok to have a child at 40?.My husband is 45 and is very happy with the news.I am sometimes happy since my daughter will have a sibling. But i am having doubts whether it is advisable to have children at such old age.Do people in india have children at such an age?

most of all keep urself stress free and be positive

Hi.
Don' t worry about society..what they will think if you deliver in this age?.As Noworry advised talk to your doctors about this.It will be nice to have a sibbling for your daughter, not only for playing but in future if relation goes well they can share their feelings. It is a god given gift.By the way how old is your daughter?.

First of all congratulations on your pregnancy. Do not worry, my sis was pregnant when she was 43 & delivered a healthy baby. So keep all the hopes.
But do check with your doctor/gyn to measure the risks etc in your case as every individual is different.
Take it easy & all the best.
