Feeding:Whole Milk Dilution and Quantity

Hi ,
My son is 9 months old ( turns 9 on March 5th) . I started him with whole milk 2 feedings daily . In total he takes 3-4 feeds with 5-7 ounces in each feed . 2 feedings whole milk and 2 formula feedings . Right now I am diluting whole milk ( 4.5 ounces whole milk : 3 ounces water) . I tried increasing milk to 5 ounces but he could not digest . Also we give him 1 small cup of curd.

How much milk intake ( whole milk ) is required per day at 9 months ?

This is his feeding schedule . Do suggest me if any change is needed . Coz he is having indigestion many times and also his poo ( stools) are hard .

7:30 AM - 7.5 ounces whole milk
(4.5 ounces milk : 3 ounces water )
9:00 AM - 1 to 1.5 idli
10:00AM - 3 - 4 ounces of orange / juice
11:00AM - 2 small bananas
( south Indian yellow ones )
12:30AM - Rice with little dal , veggies
and curd.
4:00PM - 7.5 ounces whole milk
(4.5 ounces milk : 3 ounces water)
5:30PM - egg yolk or 1 treptin biscuit
7:30PM - Rice with dal and veggies
11:00PM - 5 ounces of formula milk
4:00 AM - 3 ounces of formula milk

I feel I should give him more gap between feeds but then I can't give all this diet . He is having indigestion frequently which is worrying me. Should I continue this diet also is he getting enough milk which is very important at this age . Do suggest me

Thanks in advance
Vinitha

you guys are doing a good job.keep it up guys!.my advise is your baby is little getting overstuffed.like breakfast is perfect.but juice at 10 you can reduce to 2 ounces.2 is recomended.insted of 2 bananas you can five him 1,and try to give different varieties of fruits rather than banana daily.lunch is perfect.hmm insted of giving egg yolk as snack you can give it in lunch like insted of dhal you can use egg yolk and veggies.and milk is perfect.try to give egg twice a week.to my knowledge, you need not mix water in milk.you better ask your doctor reg this.they need more fat so you should not dilute it.if he is not able to digest, try to reduce the quantity.and also try to play by making him run, crawl for things so that he will have a good exercise.hope this helps you.
take care.

Thanks .

I have read in some sites that we can give upto 4 ounces of juice . I will reduce the quantity . Any idea on how many ounces of milk (required amount) should be given per day ? As my boy takes only 18 - 20 ounces per day . Is that sufficient ? Also any idea on constipation ... he passes slightly hard stools . I increased water intake and also fiber food . But nothing worked so far .
Can I add any other food to his diet ?
I am not sure of the quantity of papaya /grapes to be given ?
By the way , where do u stay and how old is ur baby ?
