Hi ,
My son is 9 months old ( turns 9 on March 5th) . I started him with whole milk 2 feedings daily . In total he takes 3-4 feeds with 5-7 ounces in each feed . 2 feedings whole milk and 2 formula feedings . Right now I am diluting whole milk ( 4.5 ounces whole milk : 3 ounces water) . I tried increasing milk to 5 ounces but he could not digest . Also we give him 1 small cup of curd.
How much milk intake ( whole milk ) is required per day at 9 months ?
This is his feeding schedule . Do suggest me if any change is needed . Coz he is having indigestion many times and also his poo ( stools) are hard .
7:30 AM - 7.5 ounces whole milk
(4.5 ounces milk : 3 ounces water )
9:00 AM - 1 to 1.5 idli
10:00AM - 3 - 4 ounces of orange / juice
11:00AM - 2 small bananas
( south Indian yellow ones )
12:30AM - Rice with little dal , veggies
and curd.
4:00PM - 7.5 ounces whole milk
(4.5 ounces milk : 3 ounces water)
5:30PM - egg yolk or 1 treptin biscuit
7:30PM - Rice with dal and veggies
11:00PM - 5 ounces of formula milk
4:00 AM - 3 ounces of formula milk
I feel I should give him more gap between feeds but then I can't give all this diet . He is having indigestion frequently which is worrying me. Should I continue this diet also is he getting enough milk which is very important at this age . Do suggest me
Thanks in advance
Vinitha
