Planning a Baby  Discussion Forum

I am at my age 32 and married for more than three years. We are trying seriously since last May. Although I usually do maintain cool about it, it has started affected me of late, especially when I hear of my friends expecting or having delivered a baby. We are undergoing few gynac treatments also however a \" time-managed\" intercourse and then high hope of missing period gets frustrating, especially considering my age with no luck yet. I am probably not obsessed with having kids however it is getting late, it is this feeling that is strange to handle. Maybe sometime after trying more adaption could be considered. But right now I am not prepared for anything and am somewhat insecure..Anyone would want to share my experiences?

My spouse and I are 32 years old. We are blessed with a 4 year old. My wife delivered when she was 28. The good news is she is 4 month pregnant with our 2nd child now.

My earlier thought was, I only wanted 1 child and would have been happy if she did not conceive. But my wife insisted she need 2 and we used to have heated debates of having one kid verses 2. After seeing my daughter growing up alone even I felt we need 2 kids. And not to mention we are blessed with the 2nd.

What I have learned in life is God has a plan for everyone and we humans have no control on it.

So cheer up all the 30+ we are not old. Come on ! Human body is designed to take more deliveries. Its just because of our lifestyle something is missing. Identity that and I am sure you guys will be blessed. Don' t just make babies, make love and babies will follow. Don' t ever compare as comparison will only bring depression and gloom. Think of your good time and see what worked then. Get those moments back.

Exercise , Yoga make this a routine. Just do it 5 days a week. Push yourself for 2 weeks. I am sure by then you will find the result and that will keep you motivated.

Just to make you feel little better, i am 36 and trying from last 4 years with no luck. mines is unexplained. but i am positive i will ahve a baby sooon. have faith and eaat well and hope for the little one soon. lots of baby dust to all.

I am 34 turned in last march..mine is unexplained..married for 10 years.I have hope since some of my friends conceived after 34.Hoping I will conceive before 35.Some how considering adoption is not easy for me.I am planning to do ivf , if not success we will try with donor egg.

I am 31 and yet no sign of a baby in my case.I have started my treatment after 2 yrs of trying .I think given our age going to a Gynaec is the best choice.I am also equally insecure notwithstanding the pressure I am getting from both sides of our families.I reached the stage of obsession and now I have crossed it so now feeling better,realised that no amount of fretting or obsessing is going to help.It is what it is.Anyways all the best to all of us.I sincerely hope and pray that we get our kiddos. I would say we are on the same boat. Am also 32 years, married for 10 years. I can very well understand what you are going thru and its quite normal to feel that way.But don' t stess yourself. Its not too late still,35 yrs is normally the cut off age for conceiving. I would suggest that do not waste time and go in for IVF. Before that you must take healthy diet, exercise and remain cheerful. Also take folic acid.Am also planning to do the same but my husband is out for a month, on his return we will explore IVF option. If not successful, then I would say one thing that when things do not happen according to our wish then it is God' s wish in it. So cheer up and check the options with your dr.
