Problems in School:Regarding PSBB - Banagalore

Hi All,
Would like to share something. Like every Mom I too wanted my kid to go to a good school So I tried for PSBB on BAnnerghatta RD.
My kid is currently 3 yr old eligible for LKG as per the school rules. He was called for Interaction/Interview. They took him to first floor (No Parents allowed ) and interviewed for 1/2 an hour.
My Kid went in smiling .. Came out smiling .. No tantrums .. No crying.
I get to know today he is not selected. Reason given by school : Havent answered Qs asked in English.
Note :
English is not our mother tongue but he can follow english though cant respond fluently.
We stay 1 min away from school
We are both highly educated parents with high income (both is s/w profession)
My child has not cried or refused to go with teachers during Interaction ...

I have absolutely no IDEA why he is rejected !!!

Anybody has any clues ??? or is preference given to some particular caste ?

A lot of it is parents' fault too. Everyone is running after schools which has a rote method of teaching (mugging things up & vomiting on the question paper). No one is bothered how much the child has understood. I suggest you go for a school which has lots of activities beyond providing good education.

Dear Parent,
Do not despair because u were rejected by PSBB. I have heard from many people that they give admissions only to Tamilians - no harm in that every school has its own way of selection. But my neighbour said that the people in the reception area were v. rude to her husband when he enquired about forms. Why dont u try in BGS or Presidency school - both r on Bannerghatta road. It is all a matter of luck which school your kids will go to - but that is for brand name's sake. Finally the overall development matters and school plays about 30% role in it. So why worry ? there r so many other schools probably better than PSBB. ALl the best.

Thanks for ur comments ! I too felt the same . Preference is given to Tamilians when the no of seats are few.
Very true , the receptionist is very rude. I am soon planning to send a mail to the principal and also tell them there is system is just not transparent.

Secondly, Just yday I got a feedback its a very rigid school ..If a 1st std kid forgets one book he is asked to stand outside the class . And for every lil thing, they call the parents and complain abt the child.
They donot believe every kid can be different and keep complaining to parents. ... Ypur child doesnt know this .. Doesnt do this etc etc
Infact I got this feedback from a parent whose son studies there and is looking to change his school.

So after listening to her and ur comments I am happy he didnt get there. He is got in to Presidency school and I am going ahead with the admissions there!

Thanks
