Problems in School:kindergarten children facing harrassment
2006-12-21
Name: ramya durairaj

dear friends, my child is in LKG studying in a montessori school. he was complaining a lot about the teacher beating him and he was also refusing to go to school. surprisingly other parents from my child's class and other classes are also facing the same problem.if we talk to the management directly, they may reveal to the teachers and the teacher may show grudge against our helpless little ones. can you please tell me the rules of a montessori school and are they allowed to hit kindergarten children. the school claims that they dont hit them and that they are v.kind to them. how do i deal with this problem. please help

You MUST tell the management, and if ALL the parents who have similar complain go toagter the managment will HAVE to take stict action against the teacher. Gone are the days when teaachers would beat the kids and parents wud keep quite in the fear of the teacher. and if no action is takeni am sure there are other shcools in your neighbourhood that have some more respect for kids.

What city are your from?

there is no use telling them. some body had done that and they just denied. immediately they reveal our identity and our children will be treated harshly. i am from madurai. may be changing the school will be better.but we dont know how the other schools will be. it is really v.difficult to get admission in a good school. there is an interview in lkg itself in which they question our children about shapes, colours, alphabets, tall and short, fat and thin. thank god they did not ask them to write. these where the questions asked in every good reputed school. only the sleeping government should do something about this
