i heard that before doing IUI, if we do D&C to the uterus, leads to success. is it true? i am planning to do IUI next month. shall i do the D&C or not. plz help me,it will be greatful .

Hi Mrs Kavya,
It is a general openion among the public that DNC before IUI will give a +ve result. I enquired earlier about this to many Doctors and none of them could give medical reason behind it. Ofcourse there is no adverse effect you will get by doing DNC before IUI.Confirm with your Dr whether ur uterus is strengthy to go for DNC. Because by many DNC' s it will get weekened.
I am in this message board and sharing my experience because I know how ladies are sensitive in this matter which I noticed with my loving wife.
Please don' t take it as a prime task and get frustated. Keep faith on yourself and the most developed technology.

Dilation and Curettage
Minor procedure in which the cervix is expanded enough to permit the cervical canal and the lining of the uterus lining to be scraped with an instrument known as a curette. This procedure is sometimes done after a miscarriage or during an abortion.
