the message id 7152 in feeding board will give lotzx of indian finger food ideas.my 3rd one is picky eater and tips in it realy helped.
i tried lot of times posting the links but it din' t allow.

most of the queries i saw were answered by someone name hetal.
i bought 2 books on parenting but i din' t complete the books only because language was difficult to understand for me.but what i liked about hetal' s replies is she keeps it very simple to understand yet meaningful & full of information.my salute to her knowledge and writing skills.
i read in one of the boards that she has been absent past couplemonths.
i hope i see her online sometime.btw, are you indian?

Hi Urvi,

Will try adding nesquik to the cows milk as you suggest. And will also try putting the milk in an attractive cup. Hopefully all this should help her drink milk happily and readily.

Will keep you posted on the \" achievements\" .

Bye

Hello Urvi,

Thanks a lot for giving me the link to the diet for 13-14 month old. Yes Hetal' s advice for diet for 0-2/3 years is very very helpful. She is God sent.

Will def try out the various options.

My baby eats little well at lunch but its at dinner that she refuses to eat. I usually end up giving her 1 slice of butter n bread and some french fries.

What I am worried and upset about is her milk intake. She refuses to drink more than 2 sips of milk and I end up mixing the milk in her solid food. I am afraid that if I wean her from BM, and if she doesnt drink cows milk, then is the milk that i mix in her breakfast an snack enuf to cover the milk quota. How do I get her to drink cows milk?

She doesnt like fruit yoghurt and eats cheese on some days.

And yes, I am Indian.

christine, avoid french fries.
give her food like mix vegetable khichadi and all that recipes in hetal´ s suggestions and links of those messages.
cow milk in attractive cups or adding some good flavours can help.with my 3rd one, adding vanilla extract as suggested in one of hetal´ s links helped.
while for the first 2, they took 14months to accept cows milk and they started drinking 3times after that only.until then it was just like you said they will take 1-2sips and then i started to offer the rest of dairy in form of cheese.at 14months i put them on nesquik and they started liking the taste of milk.so basically what i think is flavour makes difference.

if i knew this flavour adding tip my first 2 kids would have had adequate milk in those 2 months.anyways, all kids are different that is all i can say dear. i don´ t know what else to suggest you.
hope cardamom or vanilla or some chocolate flavour might do some trick.
take care.
