..if a baby passes hard stool or gets constipated...elderly ladies in family gives anema to them ...at home they put soap...inside the rectum ...n in few sec ....babies pass stool..or i hv seen nowadays u get ready made anema' s for infants..in chemists..i had seen one person buying it...i asked the cheminst he explained me what it is...its made of plastic....u put inside rectum....
tell me if its safe to gv to small babies...

if its not safe then what is the other alternative ... deepa replied. you can give laxative to your baby if he is constipated. i have given it to my 8 months old daughter, it is like a capsule, just insert it half inside the anus and within few seconds the baby will pass stools, doesn' t matter if it goes whole inside, it will come out with the stools. when u purchase it from the chemist, tell him to give pediatric laxative and ask him the procedure. only one capsule will be enough.

if you don' t want to use laxative use prune juice, that is good for constipation and avoid giving banana.
