i think IUI, AI, AIH are all same. They are much less expensive and harmless compared to IVF. Me and my wife went through the same. IUI is also much less expensive than IVF

Hi,

I am new to this online chat...but I guess this is really useful.hence posting my doubts on it.

I am married for 2 years now...initially, we never wanted to have a baby for two years...but now when we are trying, its not working out..we are trying from part 6 months..but yes, since the two of us are employeed, sometimes, we are stressed and can nt give each other quality time for having sex...

However, i consulted my Gyno (Susheela Shetty, B' lore) and she gave us the option of Laproscopy and Artificial Insemenalation. I was not prepared for either of them, so told her I want to try for some more time. But, stil wanted to check is AI advisable...how long do you need to complete the entier process...how much does it cost.. upto what % the chances to get preg after AI is +ve...how long you need to take rest and all that stuff. If anyone can answer my questions, I would be glad..

Hi Dipi,

I have the same experience. I did not conceive after 2 years of trying. I was in metformin tablet and also had PCOS. I conceived through A.I only. They say its one sitting, ie they do twice only when the eggs are completely matured and the next day with the overy break. There is no risk involved. U won' t feel any pain also.Once its over u will be asked to lie down for 1hr there and u can go back home. I was asked to not have sex and my doctor put me in projectoron. Check with you Dr bcoz these will change as per the treatment. All the best.

But she asked me where would I like to c the discharge i e outside or inside. She told that both the methods are helpful. Is IUI kind of AI? or is it different? I m on deviry tab to induce periods as I have LMP prob.

I had septum in the uterus and got removed. Since I had a history of ectopic pregnancies, both my fallopian tubes are tied. Due to the poor ovarian reserve ... - Malini [View Message]
