My baby just turned 8 mths. I started giving her water abt a month back. And there is no fixed amount. I give her a few sips after every meal (which is abt 2-3 times a day) - specially after she has had crackers and all.

I still have doubt that whether we can give water to a six month old (formula fed) and how much water during a day?

Actually, from when the water should be started for an infant?

TIA

You can start water when you start solids because babys need liquid more than grown ups.
Hi PS, I am also trying same thing with my baby...
but I am still confused about amount of water. how old is your baby?? do you have some idea about amount...
Regards,

With my baby - I took some water in a plastic cup and held it near her lips and tilted it so that a lil bit of water went inside her mouth...

she liked it so much that she has learnt to sip from a cup because of that...
