Developmental Concerns:Worried

Name: Rpreet

HI,
Recently my 11 month old baby started crawling and she stands up while holding a table or chair.Once holding a table, she lost the grip and fell down. She didnot hurt herself much, but she was afraid and cried a lot. While crying she became unconcsious and didnot respond to us for 4-5 minutes. We were afraid and we took her to a hospital, they examined her.The doctors said that she had a seizure and because of fear she was unconscious.
This happened again the next day. I am really worried and dod not know how to remove this fear of fall. Everytime she cries badly i am afraid that she will faint again. Please advice what to do.

What you can also do is take her to the park or other places where there are other children. Children learn by watching others like them. Take her favorite toys with you when you go.
While playing with they forget their fears.

Hope this helps.

Hi Rpreet,

Pls dont worry too much.I can understand your concrern. What i feel is now you are the one to give her lot of confidence. As she had just learnt to stand, u can be always around and encourage her positively to stand again and at the same time be behind her so that she will not fall again. This will be required only for a few days till she forgets her fear.Children forget too fast and once they know you are there behind, her fear will go off soon.

kids fitness through play and games
since i have been training young kids for motor skills and fun fitness for a while i see that kids develop most of their sports movements then and as early as 4 years. parents need to be aware that forcing kids into sports at a very early age will not get them far, as they end up losing interest quickly. ... - Sunny Singh [View Message]
