I started with carrots for the first time.just peel and wash them and cook them soft by steaming.them mash them to very soft pulp and feed her, there is no need to add salt.then as prao suggested you can try everything little by little.

Try sweet potato instead of Potato.

U can introduce these veggis one by one
Carrot , Palak, Beet root, Beans, peas

After this u can also give her Indian veggis like Bottel gourd, pumkin etc

By the time my daughter was 9 months I had introduced her to all veggis that we eat except bindi, brinjal and potato

Start with a little vegetable puree (1 tsp ) and gradually increase the quantity. Rememebr to maintain at least a 5 day gap between introducing any new type of food. All children are diff and what works for one may cause problems in another. Potato dosent seem to agree with your child. my daughter would happily eat beet root but throw up after a few hrs. So I have stopped this veggi now

Another thing she never liked the vegetable puree, but she would happily eat any veggi added to her moong dal kichidi. So I used to add a new veggi to her kichidi every week.

Try what works best for u...
