Hi Archie and everyone,

I had a miscarriage (got pregnant thru clomid). My doctor gave me precription for birth control pill mircette for 21 days. I have irregular period and i am taking metformin.. she said, since taking those tablets, i will get period 3-4 days after fisnishing the 21 days course.. once i get the period, she said she will do gonodotropin therapy from the 3rd day of that cycle.. is it ok if i take those tablet since i have irregular period? is it going to suppress the pregnancy since its birth control pills? should i just wait for the period to come naturally and then start the gonadotropin therapy? Please reply me.. I am very confused and worried now. Please help me.

Donot worry for birth control pill.As u have irregular period so your 2nd day LH hormone may be high . To reduce this hormone ,before starting gonadotropin ur doctor has given contraceptive pills for the previous cycle .The cycle in which u will be given gonadotropin u will not have 2 take contraceptive pills and if everything is ok then u will surely concieve. This is a very common line of treatment for patient having irregular period .
