Hope u are doing fine. If u remember my son Arjun, was having infrequent bowel movements since his 3rd month. Now he is completing his fourth month. Since the last one month...he was having a bowel movemnt every alternate day. At his last checkup, the doctor examining his eye said that he was anemic...and then he checked my eyes and said that i am also anemic. He prescribed iron drops for Arjun. Now the problem is that his bowel movements are not regular now. As a matter of fact, now i have learned what constipation is in his case. He has been straing real hard since the last two days...i used soap to help him out(had put it in his anus). He passed a little stool(a little formed first and then it was watery). Since iron is to be continued.. how can i help Arjun with his bowel movements. Also since he has also gas(quite less since the last fifteen days i give colic once a day during afternoons) i am unable to make out what causes him discomfort...his constipation or gas?

Another problem is that his tear ducts are blocked. There hasn' t been any thick discharge till now...but his eyes keep on watering. I have been giving him the massage the doctor has asked...but its not making much difference. He keeps on rubbing his eyes even in sleep...What can i do abut it??

chetana Suzanne France replied. Try giving him baby pear juice (or dilute it yourself). Other than that keep using the soap if that' s the only way to help him do a do.
