dear hetal and all,
hetal, Good to have you back on the board. I can understand the baby must be keeping you really busy and still you care to answer whatever you can. I have a question..
my 10.5 mth son has been sufeering from cold and cough on and off since december until mid-march. so i don' t give him bananas(i had only given him when i started with solids never as a part of his regular diet) or citrus fruits like oranges. after he completes his one yr , i wish to start with bananas and orange juice. is this ok? how should i start? i don' t giev him any juices at the moment as dr is happy if he is hving good amount of water and fresh fruits.

other question is - it will be mango season soon. how to introduce mangoes in a baby' s diet? i understand it has great nutritional value but is also heaty..

do answer whenevr you can.
thanks
megha

hi ! megha, my son is appr. your son' s age too. so ya, for cold and cough i used to give him pure haldi in his milk and luckily he took it. so u can try it. ya, more mucus producing things should be avoided. and i have just started giving mango to my son mixed with banana and i just puree it even though he does take little pieces if served to him. and ya, the 4 day rule applies to everything new introduced to kids. so keep an eye for symptoms. good luck.
