Hi,

Iam writing you again. I went back some posts to read your messages and then recollected that U are pregnant right? I read ur clomid success story too. So, gynac had put u on 100mg of clomid right in the 1st month? And Why has my gynac not prescribed me metformin along with clomid? I asked her and she said nothing. Does metformin and clomid together give good results. Only clomid won't make me conceive is it? Please guide me iam confused. I really hope this month the 100 mg dose works for me.

hi Ruchi,
metformin will be priscribed only if u have PCOS. i dont know weather u hv it or not.
I am having PCOS. and i took 1st dose of clomid last month.It didnt work for me.On the D2 scan my doc found that there was a cyst in my right ovary. she put me on BCP.

Hi,

Hi how are you? I am on my clomid 3rd month now. My gynac has increased my dose to 100mg now. I am getting periods every month now that iam on clomid, first month got my periods on CD 34 AND 2ND MONTH ON cD 24. I am so confused. Gynac told me that since iam getting my periods I might be ovulating on clomid. She said lets try 100mg this month as they do so. They increase the dosage every two months.

I am really hoping that it clicks this month. I don't know the erratic behaviour of my periods ones 34 days then 24 days.....I don't know what to expect this month.

Heyy Ruhi,
how are u doing? I just read your posts.. About Metformin.. my doctor told me tht it is given when u have PCOS..Just like Viju said.. I too have PCOS.. So if ur doctor didnt give u Metformin .. means u dont need it.in fact in my case.. i had to continue it till the first trimester was over.. Again doctors in India dont agree with this.. but doctors in US think its a good idea to continue in first trimester.
As for clomid.. hmm.. it was actually prescribed to me by my doc in india and she gave me 100 mg to begin with. It didnt work for me.and nor did i get my periods..by then i was in US.. and so my doc here induced periods with prometrium.. I got periods and on CD 2 had to undergo ultrasound. they found good follicles n no cysts.. so i had a second cycle of clomid from day 3-7 and tht month I concieved.
If there are any cysts seen on ultrasound done on CD1-3 then ur doc will put u on birth control pills.. My doctor explained it.. as birth control pills will help regulate period and most likely the cyst will go away in the next cycle.
