Hello Friends
My 5 month old baby is not taking bottle [ formula]. I started with Rice cereal when she completed her 4 month. Its been a month now and am not able to set a routine for her. shez taking BM at night.
If she have 1 tbsp of cereal in the morning she doesn' t show any symptom of hunger whole day.

From past 6-7 days shez been drinking 5-6 oz of formula from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening.
I tried just giving her milk with no cereal at all but then she keeps waking up at night seems like hungry, also i feel if she wont take any cereal how she will grow. She has started raising her chest on tummy neither rolling.

Please Suggest what shall i do.

I' m trying all the things you have mentioned. Baby also likes banana shake.

Can i put Gerber Banana 1st foods into milk?

Ypur baby is still very young...so why dont u try giving her milk with a bowl n spoon....just put her on your lap n elevate you thigh a bit....since she is small she will not try to get up...take a bigger spoon...will help...there will be drips initially but u will gte used to.
Hold her hands too....i have done this with my baby too....since he was a very fussy eater....at least milk needs to go in right...n spoon is the best...since they dont have to try to suck...it will naturally go in....try it n let me know

I have 5 month old too...he does not like rice cereal at all. But when I added little bit off banana (very ripe) he loved it. Sometimes kids do get constipated with rice cereal. Don' t rush eventually they all learn to eat. I have a 6 year old he was worst eater till he was 3. We did every possible test on him. In the end it was just simply timing. Now he is not the best but a good eater.

Good luck me replied. the answer iz--she iz not ready for solids...wait for 2 more weeks n see whether she can accpet it..dunt force her...she shud drink atleast 24 oz of milk(bm + formula)..so rest u can bf...can try giving ragi...and she may sometimes eat surprisingly if itz her favourite..like ragi,oats,mixed cereals etc.
