Trying since long:Fedup with PCOS

Hi all,
Iam presently residing in Nashik, Maharashtra. I have been diagnosed PCOS. I have tried Glycomet after consulting a doctor. The result wasn't successful. I also got the follicle test. The follicles were not growing more than 9 mm. Now the doctor recomended me to have Siphene, 50mg. This i have stareted from the second day of my cycle. Tomorrow is my 9 th day of cycle and Iam going for follicle test. Iam having my treatment done from Dr. (Mrs) Ganorkar in Nashik. I also heard that Siphene is not effective all the time and it is just a try. Can anyone tell me what is the success rate with Siphene. I want to ovulate. I also got my husbands sperm count done. This seems to be fine and confirmed in the test report.
Hoping to hear from you.

Regards,
Savi

Hiii Savi, Sorry i am messaging u soo late.. hope u read this.
I have been sufferring from PCOS too.. and there was a time when i wouldnt get periods for 4 months at a time.
Then my Gynae put me on 3 months of Ginette 35 along with Metformin. Followed by metformin along with Clomid. In the first cycle with clomid-100mg, I didnt get my period and had to take prometriumt.got my period.took clomid again and conceived. So, dont lose hope.. another thing my doc told me is to b very very positive.. i know its hard under the circumstances.. Trust me i know.. but..leave everything to God.. take ur medicines regularly.. and it will work for u too.
Btw,I have heard tht Dr. Lad @ Bytco ,Nasik road is very skilled and famous for success rates.. both husband n wife practice. and n the 2-3 times tht i went to them.. i met ppl coming for ppl as far as ahmednagar. They also practice sumwhere in Nasik..I dont know where though.
Soo All The best Savi!
If u need any more information.. u can message me!
Lotsa Babydust to u!

Dear Savi,

I also PCOS woman but now I am 25 weeks pregnant. U want to know how. Last time I had three miscarriages because of PCOS. Then, my gynae put me on Metformin for few months and after that he added clomid together with metformin. I become pregnant again but with fears because I dont want to miscarry again. Then, my gynae put me on duphaston from week 8 to week 12 to avoid miscarriage. Until now, I am still taking Metformin and have to take until my delivery to avoid PCOS effect. So dont worry. I will get what u want. Pray hard. GOOD LUCK

Hi!!

PCOS is quite a hassle. I agree. Dont loose hope as i know at least 2 of us here(incl me that is) who've concieved after PCO.

Have you google-ed PCOS and the causes/ treatments for the same. There's a lot of information on ivillage, fertility and babycentre.

PCOS is a lifestyle disease, which occurs due to obesity and/or a sedentary life. The only answer is a diet and very rigorous exercize. (Wlaking wont do) you'll need to tone up and increase your metabolism if the glycomet should work. Then, Siphene or Fertyl or clomid will work. Doctors in India (from my experience) dont go into this aspect much. They try to do everything with medicines. It's not right.

Tone up and eat smartly (Low sugar, Just enough Carbs and Ok protien), keep taking your folic acid (Folinal) and de-stress. You can beat PCOS.

Baby dust to you...
Padma
