Hi all,

I had started taking clomid last month, after taking provera dose. I have PCOS but I don't have any abnormal hair growth or weight problem. After taking my clomid dose My follicular period was from CD 1 to Cd 23 And on Cd 24 my BBT show s a rise by .5 F. And today is my CD 30 and its still high like today it was 98F. My docter had not called me for any tests during my ovulation period. But yes, She said i would have to take an appt as soon as i get my periods this cycle to check whether i have cysts due to clomid.

My question is, can a follicular phase be so long like 23/24 days and then go into luteal. How long should a luteal phase be to predict that i have ovulated? Iam having acute breast pains since last 5 days, feel like iw ould get my periods soon. My date is 22nd of this month. ALSO,I felt like ovulation this cycle coz i had white sticky discharge during the time of temperatures shift....and we had intercourse alternate days during that time

Please guide me, about the luteal and follicular phase intervals. And why am i feeling breast pains and period like symptoms? I always feel that way and still don't get my periods.

1. If clomid works then you were expected to ovulate around CD14-CD16 depending on the day you started clomid.

2. Rise in BBT would not only be seen on the following or soon after ovulation but likely to continue throughout the Luteal phase. By the way Luteal Phase can be of 12 - 16 days. Since you claim today is your 5th day post ovulation, I would suggest to hold your hopes for next 10 to 11 days. Just to make sure all goes fine.

3. Continue BBT to see temperature remains in range, should it fluctuate do not get alarmed or panicked about. You still will have to keep relaxed until next 11 days.

4. Take all tensions away and enjoy the fact that you are ovulated and playing waiting game, which can be painful at times.

I would typically hope to see your message after 11 days with a positive HPT.
