I have a daughter who is a year old and thankfully my husband has been able to work in the evening so I have been able to go to office very comfortably. Now we are being transferred to Chennai and there my husband is not going to be able to work in the evening. I am very apprehensive about leaving my daughter either with a maid for the whole day or even putting her in a creche.

What is a better option ? and what is the right age for putting the child in a creche.Please help.
Sheeba replied. I am looking for institutes who can provide me a trustable full time house maid. I heard that there are organizations where you can register for such maids.If any of you know such address in chennai pls let me know.

sheeba pratima replied. i was also min delma initally i put my child in 7 months then she fell sick but when i agan tried at the age of 1.5 she was perfect & learned a lot to communicate, toilet habits & lot more beyonmd my expectation. so u can put ur child in creach after 1yr positively
Simmi replied. So things might seem different however kids behaviour is universal. I sent my daughter to a full time creche since she was few mths old as I had to join back work. I was afraid too but the younger the kids are the more adaptable they are to new surroundings. If you leave them too late, they have a mind set of not interacting with other kids at all.
I suggest you start sending her to the creche part time to start with, spend the first two days with her there to help settle her in to the routine. Then slowly increase the time to whole day. Soon she will interact with other children, learn to talk and be busy with life there. It is scary thought but is not that scary when you see an independent child who you can focus on when u come back from work. Don't feel guilty and do look around few places before deciding where to send ur daughter.
Good luck. meenu replied. i am sure the baby by now would be able accustom to people outside, though she would take sometime with strangers. infact she would start to learn independently only when left without parents most of the time.
