I have been trying for 1.5 yrs now for pregnancy. I was on Clomid for 6 months for which i dint respond. Now am on different Tablet called Letrazol for the past 3months for which i repsond good. If i dont conceive this cycle, my dr wants to go for IUI in the next cycle. Just wanted to know if Fallopian tube blocks are any other test needs to be taken b4 going for IUI...Also let me know if those tests would be painful. What Rene asked is perfect, do you mean your tubes are blocked or not blocked, it's not clear. If you don't know then you may want to have HSG done.

Also before IUI you will need follicular studies to know ovulation timing as the success of IUI totally depends on timing of procedure.

Vidhu if you are in pain from fertility concerns then I personally think any medical procedure that helps you get pregnant should sound painless no matter how difficult it might be for those moments when actual procedure is done. YOu should not have such concern in mind. Because all you want is a healthy baby, am I right?

Its not very clear from ur msg if ur fallopian tubes r blocked or not.have u got X-RAY of ur tubes done with the help of a dye?u should get it done before going in for an IUI.i got it done and only when it was clear thats there no problem with my tubes,did i get the IUI done.this particular test is a little painful so make sure ur husband is there with u.i went alone not knowing at all what to expect and regretted later.take care.
