Feeding:Hi Hetal, taking solids 3 times only

Hi Hetal,
I did add some more veggies and fruits as suggested by you...making sure that my little peanut eats almost everythin befor she turns 9 month, right now she is 7.5 months.
My question is
1. She likes to take solid only 3 times a day, 11am, 3pm, 7pm and rest of the time she takes my milk, she seems satisfied to me, moreover I was thinking that as u have mentioned that during first year of baby max nutrition should be coming from milk so I am following this pattern. She takes cereal and some fruit in the morning, very little cereal and veggie in the afternoon and same thing for the evening, it's like her breakfast, dinner and lunch. IS THIS OKAY?
2. I give her 1 sip of water after every 4-5 morsel of food, she likes to drink water, IS THIS OKAY?
3. after her first refusal to the food I still give her some more food, I do this 3 times, I mean she says no, I make her distract and feed her, she takes 2-3 morsels and I repeat this 3 times. IS THIS OKAY?

Thanks! Your reply will be appreciated

at 7.5months,,she is expectd to eat around/approx:

now your queries:
1. as i said earlier,,as far as you feel that she is satisfied with all she has been eating,,it does not matter what the no of meals are ! what mattrs to me is the amt of those meals and whether or not those meals had all the imp nutrients tht she is required to have...
and if all types of meals r introduced like juices and stffs like that,,baby happens to graduate to other foods, other flavourrs and her acceptance to food increases because of variety...
however,,when it comes to babies below 1 yea,,dont alternate thr milk feeds, as far as you can,,but once after 9months,,make it a point that milk and solids both go together !!!
until 9months,,let formula or bm,,be her main/primary diet..after 9months also,,most kids are more into formula and bm almost until 11months !! its perfectly fine...
if she seems to be satisfied to you, i will rely on that instinct !

2. yeah, nevermind,,offer water like a sip or tsp after couple spoons of solids,,solids is new food for them,,and it often happns that they are still learning to eat,,so water will prevent them from chokng or gettng irritated with sticky tongue or throat out of new solids..
also make it a point to give other alternatives like dal ka pani along with it ! this will interest her as the taste is diff and its not water !! something good will go in her stomach..
likewise,,offer soups,,see if she likes it,,make it very watery/almost water and very mild,,,,..

3.its ok to do so,,,your child being at 7.5months is not able to judge when she is full,,,she often gets frustrated with spoon feeding so often leaves the feeds..however,,you are practicng a good habit of repeatng 2-3times,,after that dont force her,,respect her apetite...in long run otherwise she will not be able to judge when she is full and might end up eating until you feed her..
right now,,its fine,,2-3 trials after refusal from kids below 9-10months,,is fairly acceptable..you know wat are her expressions of feeling full or when she is uncomfortable etc,,so go by that looks/expressns and respect them !

i hope this sfcs...take care..good luck
