Hi dear,

I had asked this question earlier on a differnt board. I have missed my periods, they were on 12th july and iam 8 days passed my periods. I did HPt test twice, once on 13th and 2nd on 18th july. Both came -ve. But, I am having little white vaginal discharge too along with periods like cramp in stomach. Other then that nothing else is happening.
Today I am having an continous headache along with vomiting feeling. But did not vomit. Iam not feeling tired though. But have some backaches. I'll try an HPT again after 2 days...

Can u tell me how sensitive these HPT tests are? And after how many weeks should the preg hormone be high for an HPT to sense it at home? I am in my 5th weeks now if preg, so is it normal for me to not get an +ve hpt so soon? Please guide me archie.....

At this stage you should get positve hpt if it's pregnancy.
If it fails to give positive hpt you may want to talk to gynecologist, who would order a few tests for you.

usually hpt's are very accurate and they can detect as less as 25mIU of hCG and in many cases even a day or two before missing period but in most cases the next day of missed period is good time.
