I am TTC and also trying to lose weight as I am kind of over weight.. so its giving me some hard time to conceive. Doctor suggested me to eat low carb food and decrease sugar in take too... I would like to know what r the low carb foods? Is rice a high carb food? How about chappathi? I used to have rice for lunch and supper.. Now I am having chappathi... Please let me know.. Low carb means food, which is less in carbohydrates. Try not to eat rice, pasta, potatoes and white bread. Also eat chapattis without butter/ghee. Try to have sprouts, lettuce, spinach, bok choy (Chinese veggie), celery, radish, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, mushrooms, green beans, tomatoes, okra (Lady’s finger).
Try to intake a lot of salad and fruit. Try to stick to low or fat free items. Eat less sweet but you can indulge once in a while. Fried food is a total no no. Also while cooking try to use about a tsp. of oil. Have alteast 10 glasses of water a day!
