Hi Archie,

Thanks for replying to my post yesterday. Just a brief about my history:

I went to my OBGYN in Jan 2006 to get my yearly examination. That’s when I told her that we were trying to get pregnant. She also asked me a few questions about my periods etc. Since my periods were not regular, she put me on glucophage (1500 mg) (without taking any tests). Glucophage did not work after taking for 2 months i.e. Jan and Feb. I went to India in March-April. After that I did not get my period. I got a –HPT. She “made” me have a period in April and she put me on Clomid (in May) along with glucophage. First with 50 mg Clomid and last month with 100 mg. She says this is the last month that she will try with Clomid, although she can try upto 6 cycles. She says that she wants to keep 3 cycles for the infertility doctor in case he needs to add Clomid with other medications….
So in the end, I donot know if I have PCOS or endometriosis but she has prescribed me with these medications. Is it possible that she knows from my yearly check ups? Also, “if” she does not know for sure, is she just “trying” Clomid on me??? Sorry for this long message but do you think I will get more justice with the Reproductive endocrinologist?

I did understand reason avoiding further clomid trials from your gynecologist and fair on the ground.

you will know more about PCOS or endometriosis from blood and ultrasound.
