Problems in School:Teachers!!
2006-09-13
Name: Harini P

My son - 8 yrs goes to one of the most reputed schools in the city - there is one particular teacher who uses the stick liberally and my son is terrified of her. When I brought this to her notice and pointed out that my son is scared of even talking to her in class - she went wild and scolded him right in front of me! Have I done something wrong? How best do I approach this problem?

report this matter to higher authorites like the supervisor or the principal of the school. beating kids is prohibited in schools. if this matter continues, threaten to take legal action. talking to principal shd work i guess.

I guess we all should take a stand against errant teachers -but then , I would not like my son to be caught in the cross fire even if the teacher is brought to book; one can never ensure that she would stop bullying the particular child just becoz his parents compalined!!
