Feeding:Getting fussy with solids
2006-12-12
Name: Elsa

Friends, My son is 9 months and 2 weeks. He was very receptive to solids when I started with them at 6th month. These days he is getting fussy about taking solids. He takes liquids in all forms except plane water but just doesn't want to eat. I don't know if he is bored with same taste even though I have introduced lot of varieties, fruits like apple, pear, banana, pappaya, water melon, kiwi fruit etc veggies like carrot, beans, sweet potato, potato, spinash, white and yellow pumpkin, green peas, then moong dal, lenthil, 3 types of red beans, ghee, rice, wheat, oats, biscuits, cerelac... I guess, he is more interested in fun than food now. My question is, is it sufficient if he takes mostly the liquids like milk, fruit and veg cooked water and take solids as he wishes ? I just don't know how to force him to eat if he doesn't want to. He takes atleast one meal full mostly. He weights 8.5kg. Do your kids show less interest to food at this age ? How do u manage ?
