for babies from 1-2months,,if the baby is not properly fed,,its likely that he might suffer from constipatn...so first check if he is takng enough feeds ,,as below :
1?2 months --> 6?8 feedings or on demand, whole feels depnding on milk supply newhere from 10-15min to even 20-25mins. offer both breast in each feeds.formula --> 6?10 feedings of 2?4 ounces each.
You can be reassured that your breastfed infant probably is eating enough if he or she:
1.seems alert, content, and active is steadily gaining weight, growing, and developing. now that he is 1month, he will no more lose his birth weight or water weight, so now you have to expect her weight gain and check on it every week on this birth day(not date,eg if thursday, check weight on every thursday)
2.has wet and soiled diapers on a regular basis, 6-8diapers.
3. if his regular pattern is less or more thn what is expected out of him,,,make sure that he follows the same and it will be the pattern that he will always follow and is called regular bowel and balddr for him ! so check on that.
check on the things below and see if it helps :

and some steps that can help your child relive from gas or constipation,,is in chetana post,,just a couple below yours.
apart from there,,can you check on collecting your bm and offer bm for 1-2days and see if there is ne diff in his bowels or he feels abit relieved..
and if he does,,it means formula is the culprit...
check on your diet and see if it helps,,thn your diet is the culprit...
instead of diluting the formula with more water, offer formula as it is and in between formula offer, some water(room temperature or at lukewarm next to cool water),,,and see if that helps..offer only 1 oz !
avoid replacing your baby feeds with extra formula or diluted formula,,instead offer plain water !
after that too if your baby continues to suffer,,you can try offering him soy formula and see if that helps him to be more comfortable..most breastfeed babies like mine,,have been sensitive to iron fortified formulas ! and its quite normal esp in first 3months ,,when they are not have activity levels..
good luck,,thats all it comes to my mind.
