Past history of depression leads to postpartum depression. Feeling of sadness, anger or hatred is a part of PPD. Loss of interest in hobbies and other work and also feeling exhausted or tired always are warning signs to look out for.

It is very difficult to identify the symptoms of PPD. In short there are some tell tale signs of PPD such as extreme concern or worry regarding the baby, inability to sleep. Feeling of anger towards family members or the baby and feeling of harming the baby are quite common symptoms of PPD.

Feeling sad after delivery
My friend had delivered a baby boy 3 months ago but instead of feeling happy, she remains sad and depressed. She does not talk to anybody and is not interested in anything. I don' t know what happened to her. She was a very lively person. I am afraid she might even harm her baby......... - Harshita [View Message]
