Feeling sad after delivery

My friend had delivered a baby boy 3 months ago but instead of feeling happy, she remains sad and depressed. She does not talk to anybody and is not interested in anything. I don' t know what happened to her. She was a very lively person. I am afraid she might even harm her baby......

Harshita, Your fears may be right. your friend can harm her baby as she is suffering from postpartum depression. Please get her treated. There are many cases wherein the mother even kills her child.....so take this as a warning sign

The main symptom of postpartum depression is persistent feeling of sadness. The mother feels depressed for no reason. She becomes very sensitive and often cries for no reason. she may not involve in taking care of her baby. there are many other symptoms.
