Hi Archie:

The doctor called today with the progesterone level. She said it was 7.5 and that the level should be at least 15. Hence she has doubled my dose to 100 mg (Clomid) this month. She said that ovulation did occur this month. She also said that I “probably” had PCOS, hence my irregular periods. Just thought to update you with my situation. Do you think 7.5 level of progesterone is too less? Do you know of any tests to be done to know if one has PCOS for sure? Please let me know.

I think if you have irregular periods and if your progesterone levels are not that high(Yes, 15 is ideal) and if you have facial hair then you have PCOS. I have PCOS too and I was recently diagonised to have Type 2 diabetes . I have been ttc from last 18 months . I got preg once but had a a miscarriage. However I am hopeful that I will become Mom one day.

Are you by any chance taking Metformin? I think that and Clomid should help you ovulate properly.

Thanks for your reply. We have been ttc for 6 months. Doc has prescribed me with Metformin.

Lots of baby dust on all of us.
