Hi,
I would like to know the cost of the MRI Scan... I have an appoinment this saturday for checking the pituitary gland. also, how is the procedure for MRI scan?

Hi ..

i had a MRI scan last year due to elevated proclactin levels ...

in US , woth insurance, we had to pay ~$200 from our pocket .... but if you have good insurance, you might end up paying lesser ..ask your insurance folks beforehand ...

the procedure is pretty straightforward , they do multiple scans lasting b/w 2 - 15 minutes ..

they also injected some dye in my veins, and took few more scans ..

it took me ~1.5 hours for the whole check-in - procedure and i was able to go to work also after that ...

Thanks for your response...Yes, I am also taking this scan because of elevetaed prolactin level... My level is 24. How long you had to take the medicine to regulate the period and get conceived? I am on TTC.. Please reply.
