Feeding:Hetal - A few more questions on feeding

Firstly thank you again for the detailed information. yes now it makes sense between colic/vomitting/reflux.
My twin1 used to be colic first 3 months. But now he is fine.
The medicine that dr. prescribed for the reflux was for 7-10 days.
I had a few more questions:-
1. AFter how many hours do you repeat the dosage of any medicine.
2. As mentioned on the formula packaging, you are not supposed to keep the prepared milk for more than half an hour.
In that case can I atleast keep the powder in the bottle (dry bottle) and then add warm water when required. The reason I ask this question is because when I visit the doctors it becomes difficult to prepare feeds for both of them.
3. At what age can they be taken out.

My twin2 does not sleep at night, have started his night massage and bath from yesterday as per your suggestion posted in your sleep section. Lets see how it goes.
Thanks and waiting for your reply.
Will keep you posted.

1.the dosage or timing of ne medicine prescrbd by your dr should be as suggsted by your dr. but the duration of medicne is mostly dpending on severity of health and upto specific days only..
the recovery from recmded dosage is expected to be seen from day 1 to day 4,,and ne day more thn that,if the patient has not recovrd even to level of 50% by day 4,,thn the either the dosage or the medicine is to be changed or is a sign of chronic health condition. check for ne side effcts of medicines as mentioned by the manufacturer of the medicine,,to be on safer side,,as such, drs avoid recmnded strong dosages that give side effcts when it comes to babies at 3months..

2.its ok to keep the pwder in the bottle,as far as the bottle is dry and that its not exposed to direct sunlight..keep a vaccum flask that has warm or lukewarm water...

3. if the place you are staying has more number of flu and viral or ne other epidemics,,then later the better,,,,otherwise,,keep babies away from crowd and lots of lights for atleast 3months,,after 3months,,even if he catch viral infection or so,,its possble for dr to feel comfortable giving ntibiotic or shot,,before 3months the health of baby is very delicate and thus it becomes difficult for dr to give dosage or do certain test or carryon on xrays and most of the times because of that baby health condition is not properly diagnsd..which may result in false medication, baby always sick, or not develpng properly and so onnnn...

after 3months, you can take them once a while dpending on weather...in US, the cleaniness and such hygne probs are well taken care of by malls and parks so many parents take thr kids out as soon as they are 3months or even at younger age..some take out from 1st week,,it all dpends on how mobile mother is and how comfortable baby is outside the house,,with feedngs, changing diapers and such other basics..
take him out,,dress him well but dont overdress him,,keep him near to your reach and carry an extra pair of clothes with you always..as far as your baby is njoying the open light or out of house,,there is no worry,,,make sure to stay away from too much chaos or noise,,babies tend to get overstimulated and when they are back home in silence,,they cry out for almost 2-3 hours,,so avoid such places,as much as you can..once a while is fine..no worries...just make sure to be near to them.

rest all is fine,,make your baby2 sleep elevatd as he is havng gastric reflux,,and give medicatn as suggsted by your dr..if you are offrng breastmilk or breastfeedng,,,reduce spices, garlic or beans or gasssyyy diet,,it will help.
good luck to you,,

Hi Hetal,

Took the babies to the doc. today and has diagnosed them with gastric reflux. Just as you said.
Has also suggested the elevated position+ medication for 1 mth.
I hope this is not serious and will be ok.
I have started feeding them as suggested by you elevated position. Lets see how it works.
Really appreciate all the help, all the information you have imparted.

Will keep you posted.
Thank you and God bless you and your family.
