I am 8 week pregnent. I had an electric shock while I was putting cloths in washing machine. Now I am worried that It may affect baby' s growth or any long term consequences after that. If anybody has gone through same and had healthy normal baby?
Jonathan replied. I live in Australia (240 V). My mother was thrown across the room when shocked by washing machine while pregnant with me.
I am now 42. I am unsure what affects it had. I think there are too many factors relating to genetics and physical condition of the mother and the path the current follows through the body, what you are wearing, your weight, height etc. to compare any two instances of this type.
As far as I know it did not affect my physical health and development. I have an unusually high IQ. I have the ability to see connections between things that most people don' t. I am very logical, non aggressive. I suffer from narcolepsy and have multiple personalities of inner dialog like hearing your sub conscious working everything out quite interesting the things your subconscious is doing. These could have been genetic and not connected to the shock. I have a sunny disposition and never get depressed.
As for your child, just the fact that it lived is a miracle from what I can tell so just be happy and let them be who they are and don' t try to change them.
