Hetal replied. Quinoa is healthy to give.in contemporary times, this crop was highly appreciated for this nutritional value,,esp UN has classified as a supercrop for its high protein content,,almost like 18% per serving..
infact compared to wheat and rice(low in lysine-essential amino acid),,quinoa contains a well balanced ratio of essential amino acids..
so compared to wheat,,its less intake is more than enough to give you enough protein, as well a good fiber and minerals.
since being a very high source of protein, its advisable to offer this only after your baby is comfortable with rice, oats, barley and millet...and then comes quinoa,,then wheat,,which makes the right age to be 8months !!
elaichi banana is small variety of banana that is dwarf size like 3-4 inches(half the size of big banana),,and is often sweeter, more pulpier and fresh ones have distinct sweet smell which appeals babies,,and just right for babies serving sizes..in US, most states sell it in brand of chiquinta,,but they are seasonal ! you can ideally replace ordinary ripe banana if these are not available.
any kids of artificial sugar is not good until 1 year of age,,and is not req by your baby,,even though low in calorie,,its after all sugar !
honey, brown sugar or white sugar, maple syrup has almost similar nutritional values, and they all provide insignificant or next to null amts of vitamins and minerals,,,
white sugar is not well understood,,white sugar is the one that is refined,,and the pure CANE sugar is purest form of sugar,, that is not refined and is great substitute just as equal to brown sugar....for refined white sugar !! both the pure cane and the refined sugar,,,are white.one is safe to use, other is not..
not all white sugars are refined so please dont consider the theory of whites ! there is no bleaching agent added at any time during the refining process even in case of refined white sugar,,,,unless otherwise mentioned thats its purely refined sugar or free flow sugar and most of the times.
Refined white sugar MAY contain beet sugars, because the Pure sucrose crystals are chemically naturally white to yellowish white..and brown sugar is brown because of inherent molasses content,,thats all...
brown sugar is considered to have some nutrional values and it depends on inherent molasses content and not even on the way it is grown,,,so unles and until you know the actual percentage of its natural molasses(not the added one),,its rather diffIcult to find out about its safety levels...these days brown sugar is artifically made by adding molasses to white sugar,,,which is almost like you are giving artificial sugar,,unless you go for the expensive brand that guarantees 100%natural !
