Hetal replied. with all the diet i see,,at first i dont see proper diet being offerrd to your baby...
a healthy 10months old is expected to eat/drink as below,,please go thru it :
some finger food ideas that your child should be eating to some extent,,hwever rspect his pref related to textures and lumpier foods,,and allow him to accept it ! :
so go thru them, at your convinience,,one by one,,and see wat your child diet lacks in nutrients, foods...
other than above,,since your child is anaemic,,offer him below :
see if the below schedule is acceptable to his apetite and he takes it :
1. breakfast/early feed = milk/formula/iron fortified,,make sure the formula intake is as above in 10month old diet charts...
2. breakfast//solis// iron fortified infant cereal or toddler cereal(comes in lumpier textures,,with diff flavours,,kids love it),,offer with milk/formula
3. brunch//before lunch snack = a seving of vit c fruit with banana///or let me say,,mosambi juice/with banana ! he likes banana so will be easier..or,,,this can be replaced by formula feed...dpends on child intake capacity,,
4. lunch=offer him more varieties of khichdi,,check the links above,,he should be eating all foods by now and should be able to eat multigrains, wholegrains...
5. snack time,,let this be her juice time or yogurt time or cheese and bread time !!!
6. dinner = offer more and more alternatives of family foods,,make sure to give him more vegies, and with every serving of spinach, make sure tomatoes are there(remove seeds), with serving of apple and banana//citrus is present like mosambi juice or pineapple juice,,with serving of juice/which you will be offerng diluted,,offer those iron drops just before that juice serving ! this will give your child max iron absorption.
7. List of iron and iron fortified foods: iron fortified foods/cereals,,multigrains(offer raagi if its available in your stores,,check the feeding board of ways of making raagi and such other recipe details),,foods like cheerios cereal, prune, potato bakesd with skin, dried figs(soaked and cooked and offered or if baby is comfortable offer raw),,kidney beans,oatmeal/cooked,,raw spinach like in salads or puree in vit c enriched juices,,cooked broccoli, boiled egg(only yolks, check feeding board for other recipes),,boiled raisins or sauted raisins or just offer him to chew,,,whole wheat breat/flour,,make chappatis for him in that flour and throw in some wheat germ pwder/abt a tsp per batch,,also offer green peas, apricot halves/dried,boiled with skin and pureed and strained and offered with banana will help,,see if your child is comfortable to peanut butter,,if so, offer multigrain bread with peanut butter,,your baby is ready for wheat bran, put it in his soups like spinach and tomato soup and it will help,,see if you can offer him boiled lentils soups(all dals except toor dal, channa dal),,and add in wheat bran or wheat germ in it and offer with multigrain bread or toast, peaches with banana will also help,if you are offering fruit juice, these days the juices are iron fortified,,see if you can get these !
your child is ready for tofu,,chickpeas(offer it moderately, once a week),and when you use rice--use the enriched white rice,,
for all iron foods, offer vit c foods which will enhance iron absorption,,and rem that plant source of irons is easy to absorb thn from animall,,so i am not suggestng you ne meats,,,
dont offer cranberries, or ne artificial drinks to your child,it might block iron absorptn ! if you are bf, avoid sodas and tea/coffee so that your child is away from caffnes,,and make sure to take iron supplements, if at all you are bf !
iron drops might give dry stools, or might give mild constipation, might upset stomach abit,,so make sure to give lot of vit c diet along with it,,avoid giving drop afternoon onwards,,,best time to offer is mornings,,,increase fibr in your baby diet to make sure he remains away from mild constipations probs,,,and keep him well hydrated !
all these should help along with drops that your dr has given !
last but not the least,,the below sites will help you get some really good recipes for baby food:

RE:Baby cries while passing urine - Hetal pls advice
At the same time the child is feeling some pain So try to understand and consult a doctor.... - sharmasanvi [View Message]
RE:bowel movement in 2 week old infant
Some babies go through phases when they either can't use the muscles to empty their bowels or they "forget how to". In that case, it's safest keep using the suppositories daily to make them do a dirty in 5 minutes.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:where can I get laxative?
You can get either glycerin or bisacodyl suppositories in any Indian pharmacy - I recommend saving money by not buying child-size ones, instead cutting adult supps in half to make a child-size dosage.
(I have a daughter with long-term bowel issues: she can't "do" without them!)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:constipation
When the baby is in discomfort from constipation (especially if she hasn't done some dirty for two days or more), the first thing you should give is a glycerin suppository.... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:hi
Most doctors say banana doesn't help - the potassium in it makes constipation worse. Remember you can make your own prune puree in a blender. Grape, grapefruit and papaya are also laxative fruits. And remember you can safely use baby suppositories as often as you need to (they also help with "training" the baby to do a dirty at the same time every day)... - Su 03 [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Consult a good doctor immediately as this should not be ignored as it will cause a big issue if you let it go now, please seek doctors advice on immediate basis.... - Aditi [View Message]
RE:Baby Movements/Development
Hi there please be calm and relax as it happens sometime the child takes little time to start walking or crawling also but in your case the child should have started crawling if not walking.... - Anita [View Message]
