I am keeping record of my period since Jan 2006. For last 3 months I had 31 day cycle. I started using OPK last month. As per OPK direction, since I have 31 day cycle, I started using it on CD14. I got ovulution sign on CD16.

This month I started uing OPK on CD13 thogh as per the direction it says I should start checking on CD14 as I have 31 day cycle.

To my surprise I got Ovulution sign on CD13(first day of checking). I am utterly confused. Is it normal to get ovulution sign on CD13 for 31 day cycle or there might be something wrong with devide. I use clearblue digital one(with smily face). I tested it at 5.00 pm & did not take liqide for 4 hours before.

I really am not sure if this will be of any help to you. But, I too use an OPK and as per my knowledge and what I have heard from some doctors, If you get a positive line in the OPK then it will come positive for the next few days too. So just keep checking for a few more days after getting a dark line...if it remains to be the same then yes maybe you are ovulating but if the line gets light the next day of getting a dark line then it may just be a false alarm....but it does happen that sometimes one can ovulate earlier than expected.
