Could someone help me.
Its about my baby's strange behaviour since 2-3 days. She turned 3 months 5 days back. She has started sucking her thumb. She does it when she is hungry and also sometimes when she is sleepy. Recently, it was time to feed her but she was also very sleepy, the way she was sucking her thumb it was quite evident that she was hungry too.But when i tried to feed her, she started wailing. It happend 2 - 3 times since 2 days. But she drinks properly in the nights.
Waiting for a reply. sonia replied. hi ! don't worry ! your baby might be teething. look even though kids sprout teeth around 6 mnths their gums begin to get hard and it's a painful process. it really is. that is the reason everything goes to the mouth, the sensation helps them soothe the pain. so don't worry. this is natural process. u could wash your hands and help her feel better by putting one of your fings in her mouth and not deep inside but enough for her to start cheewing on her. my son also did the same and i help him like this. now he puts his own so don't worry. even if she does start to suck her thumb on a regular basis and it does become a habit even then don't worry, it's her own way to calm herself. it's nothing to do with hunger. if they r hungry they will wail and cry. just help her soothe herself. hope this calms u down. read more on teething on the internet. all the best !
