I had my periods on March 25th and since they are sort of irregular normally (35-40 days) i have to be on my toes.

The problem that I am facing is I haven't yet ovulated and I have been having bloating and a slight ,very mild pain that comes and goes, on the right side of the navel and going down .

I had been taken to the emergency center once and found out then that I had a cyst and the pain was very similar but very very bad at that time.

But after a couple of months and a few checkups later with my RE i found that the cyst had gone away on its own and it was confirmed by the doctor.

But now the problem is I am having bloating which usually happens after my ovulation though the pain has come down the bloating hasn't.

Since in my checkup with my doc we were told that we were normal (but I am slightly overweight) I was asked by two doctors to get back in shape .

And this last month my periods came down from 40 days to 37 days b'coz of exercising.

Could anyone tell me what this pain is and why I am having bloating before ovulation. Sunshine replied. Hi SM,

I face similar issues when I ovulate. I guess for those os us who have issues ovulating, the sublte changes in our body are more noticable to us. When I ovulate thru medicines (Clomid/ siphene) I do get a pain in my tummy below the navel, sometimes it feels like the tubes are being squeezed. Its uncomfortable I know, and also u feel heavy and your tummy just pops out a bit. According to my GYN it's normal to experience these things.
I hope that I've been able to answer your q. I know my answer was not scientific to the pat. Just shared what I have already experienced and my doc's explanination that it's normal.

I do not know why u are experiencing this pain. But u should talk to u'r OB about this. Doctor will be best to answer on this
