I have problem with my 3 year old son who is not eating food at all. He eats 2 spoons and he tells me not to give more what to do please help me

ramanita - pls do not worry about your son not eating. i have a son of 3 yrs and used to get worried about his eating habits. however, after attending a parenting session, i realised that children are able to understand what they require as nourishment for themselves. The reason why a child does not eat is either becasuse he is not happy with what he is being given to eat or also probably because his energies are not utilised and hence he is not hungry.

We tend to get worried as we emotinally attach food with our love and feel bad if the child does not eat when he is offered food. Also, we want the child to eat AT A PARTICULAR TIME to suit our convenience which may not necessarily happen.

Pls ensure that he is active and playing around so that there is utilisation of his energy. He WILL ask for food when he is hungry. DONT WORRY...

Although my thoughts might sound erratic, belive me they have worked, in my son's food habits

Subject:  How to make your son eat



I do have the same problem with my daughter who is quarter to three. So in order to give her solid food I take her to park or for cycling or movie or TV show nad then when she is totally engrossed with children or the activity she is doing, then I can make her eat the puri, poora, parantha etc. of her choice.
