i agree with you smita.i myself waisted 20,000th in berkowits bandra without any results, better i would have given that money to someone in need.
i have come across a site in which a 1 week soup is very interesting for weight loss.many women in my religion have tried & succeeded.you will loose 3 to 5kg a week than stop for a week & again start it till you come to your preferable weight at the same time refer to what smita has written.

The Fat-Burning Soup or Variant Mono-Meal Diet
This is a one-week diet, where in you loose 7-10 pounds while eating as much as you want. The central food is a homemade vegetable soup, which can be prepared in bulk and frozen or refrigerated. The diet is ‘user-friendly’ and is very successful.
Weeklong Menu Plan
All foods are ‘eat all you want’, unless otherwise stated:
Day 1: Soup
Day 2: Soup and raw fruits (except Banana and Mango)
Day 3: Soup and any vegetables (except Corns and Potatoes)
Day 4: Soup
Day 5: Soup and skimmed milk (2 glasses)
Day 6: Soup and tomatoes and boiled lean meat (284-568 gm)
Day 7: Soup and steamed brown rice.
Return to your normal food life style.
Effectiveness
This is a perfect short-term diet for weight loss. It satisfies some nutritional need, offers variety, simplicity of preparation and has a specific time limit.
Benefits
Possible more nutritious than the ordinary food eating habits of many people.
It provides low fat and lots of complex carbohydrates.
Drawbacks
It is no a plan for long-term health.
It is not recommended a long-term maintenance diet.
It lacks daily access to complete protein.
all the best.
aneeta replied. I recently lost 20 pounds. It took close to six months. It can be done by having a balanced diet which includes every thing in moderation and restricting it to 1200-1500 cal for women depending on how much you need to lose and you must include 3-5 day workout schedule. Atlest for 45-60 mins. Do what ever you like. If you don't get motivation to workout at home, go to gym.
Anita replied. Dear Nilanjana!!
I have joined VLCC and yes ive really affected by it as they dont put u on diets rather they give you tapping and toners and heat treatment to burn your fats. It is indeed costly but putting money for once and then maintaining it forvere and look youg is something you will appreciate later on isnt it.
AN replied. Any body can control their weight by a regular walking. Metabolically, it helps control weight, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels. A brisk walk can burn up to 100 calories per mile or 300 calories per hour. Walking is the perfect complement to a sensible diet to lose weight and keep it off. First, make walking a habit. Start slowly, with five or 10-minute walks three to five times a week. As walks get longer, their frequency can be adjusted.Start your walks slowly, and gradually work up to a brisk speed that will cover a mile in 15 minutes
Eating Tips! Breakfast can be heavy, but lunch should be normal and supper must be light food.
Jasmine replied. Hi Nilanjana -
I posted some advice on the message before yours, please read that. I purchased a stepper and worked out at home every day. Just remember, drink lots of water, eat as you please but in moderation. Now just a bit of advice, I don't have a sweet tooth so eating sweets isn't my weakness but for some it is. Pleas eat one piece every other day or low-fat yogurt with fruit instead. You will lose the weight, just have to work at it.
Work out and keep to it every day. Purchase video tapes so you can do aerobics at home. Purchase a treadmill or stepper at home, set aside 45 minutes each day. I used to work out before going to bed. It helped me sleep and I felt good about myself.

I agree with you but rather than giving negative feedback how about providing some constructive and supportive advice for our friends.
melissa replied. just go the that place cuz otherwise u'll be tryin to save money and u will end up spendin more.
anjana replied. dear nilanjana,
this vlcc and other places are only a rip off. they will put u on some strict diet and rip you off your money and then you will be back to your normal self. i suggest you follow a strict regime of eating healthy and stay fit by visiting a gym or doing yoga at home. if you like music, just do some aerobics at home with the music on till u sweat it out. you will see the difference yourself. all the best!

they r all temporary.

hey who ever reads this messgae please dont try all these clinics
try on your own
all you need to have is will power thats it
need to decide you are going to work out at least half an hour a day
quit sweets oily foods sugar, banana, mango, chikko, lichi for some time
try avoiding rice
may be eat it twice a week thats it
eat more chapathis without oil
and a lot of fruits ther than those i wrote and also vegetables.
it works out miracles
it helps a lot
these clinics are all to suck your money or for the richie rich who dont know what to do with money.
so they created this for people like them.
if you are those richie rich who has a lot of money and dont know what to do with ur money then go ahead with it.

and take it as a challenge.

how will u end up spending more if you dont go to a rip-off clinic? that doesnt make sense, you know.. you could start walking, jogging, or take up a game like squash.. or even join aerobics. while aerobics are not cheap, at least they're not a rip off.. you're exercising, improving your health and losing weight at the same time.
