anyone has any suggestions as to how i can get rid of my paunch? i am not fat otherwise, but i have a paunch which is just terrible and doesnt go!

Hi friends
I have a paunch too,infact I had too much after my second kid was born.I tried these things(grand mother's idea) and lost 3/4 of it.Trying hard to loose some more.My pant size has gone from 16 to 12.

1.Fold a saree as a broad belt and tie it round your tummy/waist as soon as you wake up and as tight as possible
Remove it when you go to bed at night.
2.Don't eat rice,potatoes,sugar,dried beans(gives gas),too much salt,pickles and anything that causes your body to gain weight.
3.Sleep on your tummy at night.
4.When working,bend as much as possible
5.Try walking and breathing excercises concentrate more on exhalation.
6.Avoid day time naps.
7.If you kids,let them scatter things around and don't ask them to pick it up instead you bend forward and clean the mess,it works wonders.

"Grandmother's tale" not very good for the health!!

1) Eat healthy but not too much!! Eat what you like but in moderation.

2) Drink a lot of water. For one water fills you up so you don't eat too much. Drink at least one glass before a meal. Secondly - it cleans your system. Thirdly - you need it.

3) Excercise - Stomach crunches (see the post below on how to). Walking or jogging also helps. This will tone up your entire body.

4) Patience and determination!! Be patient it will happen, it takes time. Just like it took time for you to develop a tummy it will take time for it go done. Be determined!!

Good luck. It works because I have done it.

1.) it's not healthy to do that
2.) most of those foods are in your daily diet and food pyramid and you need those nutritions.
3.) it's dangerous to sleep on your stomch at night.
4.) too much bending isn't good.
5.) what about enhalation?
6.) what if your tired?
7.) like i said before too much bending isn't good.

stomach crunches are the best exersice to loose weight. lie on the floor with hands below head and knees bent, and slowly get up and go down again. do this 50 times at least. and cut down on sugar.

I have a paunch as well and am not overwegiht otherwise. I know what you mean. It is really difficult to get rid of the stupid paunch. I'd love to hear any suggestions!

I have a personal trainer at this time we focuse on my tummy wich is not to bad but what we do is lie on your back and put your hands on you thighs slide your hands to your knees i really feel the burn there are several other ones hard to explain one piece of advice if your tummy is out of shape do not do any type of exercise that require you to lift your back off the ground only kneck and shoulders
