yup your baby should be 8 and around.

Have you tried below -->

http(:)//www(.)indiaparenting(.)com/boards/showmessage(.)cgi?messageid=5857&table_name=dis_feeding

also your 7month old to 8th month old should be eating/drinking this much in a day -->
it means a mini of the first figures mentioned in each range and by the time your baby will be 8months old complete, your baby should be eating somewhere near to end of the range of measurements.

for 7month old, i dont have other tips other than these !

if your baby has completed 8months total, then its advisable for him to start with protein rich foods like tofu(soyabean curd) but not bean itself.also, some indians have started with boiled cooked egg yolks and not whites.also other forms of proteins are lentils, overboiled sprouts and multigrain pastas...all after your baby completes 8months.. also cheese and yogurt are great to increase fat levels packed with calcium !
introduce soyabean after 10months, so that baby is able to absorb it to the best.
dry fruits not recommend before 1 year. they are hard to digest and have high levels of nutrition in it. babies dont need that right now, also even if they have found safe with it, babies digestive system is not mature enough until 1 year to absorb the nutritions upto 100% from the dry fruit servings.even the pwdered form or giving boiled or soaked one is not recommended.

best time is when he has all his teeth, and he learns to eat raw things,,which is by 1.5 year and above..and it at that time that if you give him just simple roasted dry fruit, he will be able to chew and get all the oils and nutrition from it..soaked,boiled or powdered dry fruits looses its imp fat levels which will not benefit if you are working on increasing weight !!!! you are losing oils that are very healthy for human body by soaking,peeling or boiling or grinding to pwder.

therrre are lot many things you can give to your baby for his weight increase,,,wat is his age and wat is his current weight,,wat was his birthweight....

good luck
